The Centre for Virtual Learning (CVL) at the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) serves as the university's hub for all matters related to Open, Distance, and e-Learning (ODeL). CVL plays a pivotal role in advising and supporting the design, development, and delivery of technology-enhanced academic programs.
Our mission is to empower UDSM staff and academic units by offering comprehensive technical support and training in educational technology. This includes expertise in instructional multimedia production and effective use of the Moodle Learning Management System (LMS) to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
By bridging technology and education, CVL is committed to driving innovation and ensuring the successful integration of ODeL strategies across the university.
In addition to supporting UDSM's degree programs, which are delivered in blended or fully online formats, the Centre collaborates with international universities to coordinate and support online programs under signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoU).
