Aron's research and consultancy activities involve evaluating the effectiveness of information systems, assessing, and developing secure ICT systems, and using mobile technologies to develop applications for educational and financial use-cases. He has been involved in several projects such as:

1. Retooling - Designing Multimedia Enhanced Content for Secondary Schools in Tanzania.
2. iGrid - Using ICT to develop smart autonomous solar-driven power systems for off-grid communities.
3. Challenge Driven Education (CDE) programme between UDSM and KTH.
4. Sci-GaiA - Energising Scientific Endeavour through Science Gateways and e-Infrastructures in Africa.
5. Data mining of learning management in secondary schools (Halostudy)
6. Evaluation of School Information System (SIS) in Tanzania.

Aron has also developed several mobile applications including:

1. Denti - a mobile app for Tanzanian secondary students to view their national examination results and track their higher learning loan progress.
2. Halostudy - a mobile companion of the e-Learning System for Secondary Schools created by the University of Dar es Salaam in collaboration of Halotel.
3. UDSM Mobile LMS - a custom Moodle mobile application for the University of Dar-es-Salaam (UDSM) Learning Management System.
4. SmartPay - a mobile app that enables Tanzanian merchants to accept payments of goods and services via M-Pesa.
5. ABT Audit - a data collection tool for mobile agents.
